What you earn
30% of what we collect from a customer you refer, excluding tax, for the first 12 months after their first paid invoice. If a customer's bill is covered by account credit, we collected nothing and there is no commission on it.
What counts as a referral
A new EmailFig account created within 60 days of someone clicking your link, which then pays for something. If two affiliates refer the same person, the most recent click wins. Your own signup does not count, nor does an account you control, anyone in your household or at your company, or anyone who already had an account.
Our own tracking is the record we pay against. If you think a click or a signup is missing, email us within 30 days of it happening; we can't look into anything older than that.
How you get paid
Monthly by PayPal or Wise, in US dollars, on any balance at or over $50. Commission is approved 30 days after the invoice it came from is paid, and only approved commission is paid out. A smaller balance carries to the next month for as long as it takes to get there, and does not expire. We review every payout before sending it. If a customer is refunded, or we lose a chargeback on their payment, the commission on it is deducted from your balance.
Sometimes we hold a payout for a closer look rather than sending or rejecting it outright. If we end up rejecting one, the commission is not lost: it goes back into your balance and is paid the next time you clear the minimum. We'll email you either way.
PayPal and Wise charge a fee to transfer money, and that fee comes out of the payment rather than being added on top. So the amount that reaches you is a little under the balance we send. The fee is theirs, not ours, and we have no way to see it or change it.
Your payout details
You give us a PayPal or Wise email address once, and it cannot be changed from your dashboard. Email us if it needs changing and we will confirm it with you first. This is to stop anyone who gets into your account from redirecting your money. We pay exactly the address you gave us, so check it before you save it.
Your account
You're responsible for your account and everything that happens under it. Keep your sign-in secure, and email us the moment you suspect someone else has access. When you promote your link, you're responsible for following the law that applies to how you do it, including anti-spam rules like CASL, CAN-SPAM, and the GDPR, and for saying clearly that you earn a commission when you recommend us.
You may use the EmailFig name, logo, and screenshots from our press kit to promote EmailFig through your link. The kit's licence still applies: don't recolour, rotate, stretch, or add effects to the mark. Saying you're an EmailFig affiliate is the disclosure the paragraph above requires, not a claim that we've endorsed you or partnered with you.
What gets you suspended
Referring yourself, an account you control, or anyone in your household; bidding on the EmailFig name in paid search; running coupon or deals sites; misrepresenting what EmailFig does; or manufacturing clicks or signups that aren't genuine, including bots, cookie-stuffing, hidden links, or fake accounts. Promoting through illegal or discriminatory content is grounds for suspension too. We will email you if we suspend your account.
Ending this
Either of us can end this any time. You can stop promoting your link whenever you like, no notice required; email us if you'd like your account closed outright.
We can suspend your account for breaking these terms. While it is suspended, your link stops counting new signups and we send no payouts. Customers you had already referred keep earning commission for the rest of their 12 months, and it is held for you. If we reinstate you, everything held is paid on the normal schedule. If we decide not to, your participation ends and anything still held is not paid. Signing up again under a different email to keep going while suspended is a second violation, not a way around the first.
Warranties & liability
The program is provided as is, and we don't promise it will run without interruption. To the maximum extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim arising from this program is limited to the commissions we've paid you in the twelve months before the claim, and neither of us is liable to the other for indirect or consequential damages.
Some jurisdictions don't allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable in it, the same as our Terms of Service. Any dispute is brought in the courts located in Ontario, Canada.
Changes
We may change these terms. For anything material, we'll email you at least 30 days before it takes effect.
