New podcast episode announcement email template
An episode email should make pressing play the easiest thing on the page. A player card with cover art and a play button sits right under the title, one Listen button follows, and the excerpt, quotes and subscribe box wait for readers who want more.
- Example subject line
- Episode 47: The Ones Who Stay
- Preview text
- Rae Solomon talks to three people who never left their hometown, and why.

What's in this template
- Masthead, then a large italic title and a short summary
- Navy player card with cover art, episode details and a progress line
- Button: Listen to episode 47, with a line on finding it in a podcast app
- Band with an excerpt from the episode and a transcript link
- Heading: Worth the pause, then 3 photos, each with a short quote
- Subscribe box with a one-line reason and a button
When to use it
Send one for each new episode of an interview show, a narrative podcast or any audio series on a regular schedule. The tone is calmer and more editorial than a launch email, which suits thoughtful, story-led shows.
Make it yours
- Use your show's cover art in the player card and link it to the episode.
- Choose three short, quotable lines from the episode, one per photo.
- Link the transcript, or remove that line if you don't publish one.
