Weekly newsletter digest email template

A newsletter with one big story a week does not need a dozen blocks. This clean digest gives the lead a headline, a summary and a wide photo, backs it with a single number and a reader's quote, then points to two shorter reads.

What's in this template

  1. Header with the wordmark, the issue number and the read time
  2. Lead story: headline, a short summary and a wide photo
  3. Short write-up with a button: Read the full piece
  4. One big number with a caption
  5. Reader quote with a name and role
  6. Worth a read: 2 cards, each with a photo, a note and a link

When to use it

On one weekday you stick to, in weeks when one idea deserves a few paragraphs and a couple of links. Company newsletters, independent writers and associations with an archive readers can browse are a natural fit.

Make it yours

  • Pick one real number for the stat block and say what it measures.
  • Keep the lead summary to two sentences so the photo stays near the top.
  • Update the issue number and read time on every send.
