Year-end matching gift appeal email template
A match gives donors a reason to give now instead of in January, and a bar that is two-thirds full makes the rest feel close. The progress bar comes right after the headline, and a letter from the person matching explains why they did it.

When to use it
In the last two weeks of December, when a board member or sponsor has agreed to match gifts up to a cap. Food banks, shelters, libraries and any group that raises most of its money at year-end can use it, and resend it as the total climbs.
Make it yours
- Update the cap, the deadline and the matched total, and move the progress bar to match.
- Have whoever is matching write the letter in their own words.
- Rewrite the three gift amounts as what your own programs cost.
