Connect EmailFig to Gravity Forms

Add a feed to any form, and everyone who fills it in joins your list.

About Gravity Forms

Gravity Forms is a paid form builder plugin for WordPress. With the EmailFig for Gravity Forms plugin, you add a feed to a form, choose a list, and map the email and name fields. Everyone who fills the form in joins that list, and any other answer you map is saved to a custom field. Tags can use merge tags from the form, and conditional logic adds only the people who tick a consent box.

What you can do

  • Add people to any of your lists, from as many forms as you like.
  • Map the email and name fields, and save other answers to your custom fields.
  • Tag contacts, using merge tags for answers from the form.
  • Add people only when they tick a consent box, with conditional logic.
  • Wait for payment first, with Gravity Forms' payment add-ons.

Set it up

  1. Install Gravity Forms 2.9.25 or later, then the EmailFig for Gravity Forms plugin, and activate both.
  2. In EmailFig, go to Settings, API keys and create a key. In WordPress, go to Forms, Settings, EmailFig and paste it in as the API Key.
  3. Open a form, go to Settings, EmailFig and add a feed. Choose the list, then map the Email field and any name or custom fields.

Questions

Does it add everyone who fills in the form?

Yes, unless you turn on conditional logic. To add only people who agree, add a Consent field and set the feed to run only when it's checked.

Can people confirm by email before they're added?

Yes. Choose a list with double opt-in and every signup to it gets a confirmation email first. The plugin marks those lists in its list menu.

What happens if a signup fails?

The entry gets a note saying why. Add a notification on the "EmailFig signup failed" event and you get an email too.
