Connect EmailFig to WPForms

Add a checkbox field, and everyone who ticks it joins your list.

About WPForms

WPForms is a drag and drop form builder for WordPress. With the EmailFig plugin, you add a checkbox field to a form, give it one CSS class, and everyone who ticks it joins the list you chose. The field's own label and default carry over, a name field is split into first and last name, and any field you mark with a custom field's class is saved with the contact.

What you can do

  • Turn any checkbox field into a subscribe box with one CSS class.
  • Keep the wording and default you set in WPForms.
  • Save extra answers to your custom fields by class.
  • Pick a double opt-in list, so people confirm by email before they're added.

Set it up

  1. Install the EmailFig plugin and connect it with an API key from Settings, API keys.
  2. Under Subscribe checkboxes, turn on WPForms and choose a list.
  3. In each form that should ask, add a Checkboxes field with the CSS class emailfig-subscribe (Field Options, Advanced, CSS Classes).

Questions

Which forms get the checkbox?

Only the forms where you add the field. Turning the integration on adds nothing to a form by itself.

Where do the wording and default come from?

From the field in WPForms. The plugin does not override them.

Can I save other fields, like a company name?

Yes. Add a custom field in EmailFig, then give the WPForms field its class, such as emailfig-company. The plugin lists the class to use for each of your custom fields.
