Giving Tuesday fundraising email template

Donors respond to a deadline with a reason attached, and a match is both. This appeal leads with the doubled gift, puts a named person's letter behind it, and shows what $35 and $120 pay for, so the ask feels concrete instead of general.

Example subject line
A dollar-for-dollar match, today only

$35 covers a semester of workbooks. $120 keeps the late bus running. Matched until midnight.

What's in this template

  1. Sunny band: 2×, Your gift, doubled, and a donate button
  2. Letter from the director, with portrait and signature
  3. Photo of a tutor and a student at a table
  4. What a gift buys: $35 and $120, each with its result
  5. Quote from an alum
  6. Closing call that restates the match

When to use it

Make the morning of Giving Tuesday the main send, then follow with a short reminder that evening if the match is still open. It works best for a nonprofit with a matching gift. Without one, cut the match lines and keep the letter and the gift amounts.

Make it yours

  • Write the letter yourself: one real story, one plain ask, signed by a person.
  • Replace the two gift amounts with what your own donations cover.
  • Change the match headline to your actual cap and deadline, or cut it.
