Private beta invitation email template

A beta invite works best when it is honest about what is rough. Telling testers what is new, what is broken and what you want back makes them partners, and the code and expiry give them a reason to claim it this week.

What's in this template

  1. Monospace headline, short pitch and the button: Claim your invite
  2. Wide photo of a laptop glowing in a dark room
  3. Numbered list: what's different, what's rough, what you need
  4. Invite code between dashed lines, with a line on where to use it
  5. Expiry band repeating the claim button

When to use it

A limited group getting early access to something new, like a rebuilt editor, a new app or a big feature. Software teams that want feedback in return, and have a waitlist to invite from, get the most out of it.

Make it yours

  • Say how many invites exist, so the scarcity is real.
  • List the real rough edges, which builds trust and cuts support questions.
  • Ask for one specific kind of feedback, and say how to send it.
