Year-end tax planning letter for accountants

Tax decisions are easy to put off until it is too late to act. Sent in December, this letter reads like a note from one partner, with three concrete checks and a P.S. that lets people off the hook if none of it applies.

What's in this template

  1. Burgundy header: serif headline beside the partner's portrait
  2. Short personal greeting and a line on what to look at
  3. 3 year-end checks, each with a label like Savings or Taxes
  4. Button: Schedule a year-end review
  5. Signature in large italic type, then a P.S.

When to use it

Early December is the window, while retirement contributions and estimated payments can still change a client's bill. Bookkeepers, financial planners and law practices with a year-end deadline can use the same layout, since it reads like a letter from one person, not a mailing.

Make it yours

  • Replace the three checks with the deadlines that apply to your clients this year.
  • Swap in a real photo of the person signing, and sign off with their first name.
  • Point the button at your booking page or calendar link.
