Bookkeeper month-end receipts reminder email
Clients send what you need when the list is short and plain. A typed to-do slip names three documents and a due date, and the rest of the email says what happens next, so there is little reason to put it off.
- Example subject line
- Receipts for March are due by the 15th

- What I need, what's coming, and one thing that saves you money next quarter.

What's in this template
- Dark strip naming the month
- Headline and a short note on the deadline
- Typed to-do slip: 3 documents with empty checkboxes and the due date
- Line on where to send them, with the button: Open the shared folder
- 4 dated items for what comes after
- Deep plum band with one money tip
- Boxed note on what to do about a missing receipt
- Closing line asking for notes, with the button: Reply with notes
When to use it
A week before each month closes, to clients who hand you receipts, invoices or statements. A tax preparer, payroll provider or any service that works from documents clients collect can change the dates and the tip and send the same email every month.
Make it yours
- List only what you really need from each client this month, and keep each note to a few words.
- Change the month and the due date in the strip, the note and the slip together.
- Put your own rule of thumb in the tip, or drop the plum band if you have none.
