Pricing change announcement email template
A price rise goes down better when it is explained plainly and early. This notice gives the date, the old and new price side by side, what customers get for the difference and what stays the same, then a way to keep the old rate.
- Example subject line
- A change to our pricing, effective January 12
- Preview text
- Here's exactly what's changing, what stays the same, and how to keep your current rate if you act before then.

What's in this template
- Effective-date label, a plain headline and a greeting by first name
- Old price beside new price, each per seat per month
- Numbered list of 3 things added since the last change
- What stays the same: features, data, integrations and annual plans
- Offer band to keep the old price, with a button: Review your billing
- Sign-off from a named person with a P.S. inviting replies
When to use it
A few weeks ahead of a plan price rise, tell only the customers it touches. A change to limits, renewals or terms can use the same layout, since the reader needs the date, the number and what they can do about it.
Make it yours
- Put the real current and new prices in the two big boxes.
- List only what you have added since the last change.
- Decide who can keep the old price, and say so in the offer band.
