Change your sign-in email
Change your sign-in address any time. Your old one keeps working until you confirm the new one.
You can change your sign-in email any time. EmailFig just confirms you control the new address first, and your current address keeps working the whole time you’re switching.
- Go to Settings > Profile, and under Email address, enter the new address in New email address, then select Change….
- Confirm it’s you: changing your sign-in email is a sensitive change, so you’ll be asked for a fresh emailed code or your 2FA code first.
- EmailFig sends a 6-digit code to the new address and takes you to a Check
<new address>screen. Your current address still works to sign in until you finish this step. - Enter the code under Confirmation code and select Confirm change. The code expires in 10 minutes; there’s a Cancel and keep your current address link if you change your mind.
Once confirmed, the new address becomes your sign-in email straight away, and a security alert goes to your old address.
If the new address is refused, it’s already in use by another EmailFig account, or it’s the one you’re already signed in with. An inline error on the field tells you which.
