Why can't I remove this sending domain?
EmailFig holds off on removing a domain that something is still sending from. Free it up first and removal goes through.
Removing a sending domain tears down its sending identity, so EmailFig holds off while something still relies on it. Remove domain can be held in three cases, and each shows an error naming exactly what’s using the domain. Clear that one thing and removal goes through.
- A committed campaign sends from it (scheduled, currently sending, paused mid-send, or awaiting review). You’re told how many, and asked to cancel or reassign them. A draft campaign doesn’t hold removal; it’s just detached.
- A live automation has a send step pointed at it. You’re told which automations by name and asked to pause and repoint them, or shelve them.
- A live double opt-in form sends confirmations from it (your account’s default From address is on this domain). Point your account’s Default from email (in Settings → Sending domains) at another verified domain, or archive the affected forms.
Once no active campaigns, live automations or live double opt-in forms depend on it, Remove domain works. Campaigns that already sent or were cancelled keep their sender address on record for reporting and don’t hold up removal.
