Use your own domain for landing pages
Show a landing page on a subdomain you own, like pages.yourbrand.com, with one DNS record.
A landing page can live on your own domain, like pages.yourbrand.com, instead of emailfig.page. You add one record at your DNS provider and EmailFig does the rest, including the secure certificate. Each domain shows one page. Custom domains are on paid plans.
Connect a domain
- Go to Settings → Page domains.
- Under Domain, type the subdomain you want, like
pages.yourbrand.com, and click Add domain. - The domain’s row shows a CNAME record. Copy its Name and Value into your DNS provider.
- Wait for the status to change to Live. It usually takes a few minutes, sometimes up to a day. If you’ve just added the record, open the row’s menu and click Check now.
Choose the page it shows
- Open the landing page and click Page settings.
- Open Address and pick your domain under Domain.
- Click Save.
You can do this before the domain is Live. The page moves to pages.yourbrand.com as soon as it is. Links you’ve already shared on emailfig.page keep working and bring visitors to your domain. Your other pages stay on emailfig.page.
To show a different page, choose the domain in that page’s settings instead. A domain another page is using isn’t in the list, so pick emailfig.page on that page first. Settings → Page domains shows which page uses each domain.
Pages on your domain always load securely (https), and visitors’ browsers remember that. If you later use the subdomain for something else, that site needs https too.
Use a subdomain
Use a subdomain like pages., go. or join., not your main domain (yourbrand.com). A main domain can’t point at EmailFig with one record, and it usually already hosts your website.
Tips for common DNS providers
- Cloudflare: turn the proxy off for this record (grey cloud, “DNS only”). With the proxy on, we can’t see your record.
- Most other providers ask for the “Host” or “Name” without your domain on the end. The Name EmailFig shows is already that part, like
pages. - A CNAME can’t share its name with other records. If
pages.yourbrand.comalready has a record, remove it first or pick another subdomain.
If something goes wrong
The domain’s row says what to fix, and we email you if a domain stops working.
- Waiting for DNS for more than a day: check the record’s name and value match exactly, and on Cloudflare that the proxy is off. If we still can’t find the record after three days, the domain shows Failed.
- Not reachable: the record was changed or removed. Put it back as shown. Your page shows on
emailfig.pageuntil it’s fixed, and we check again once a day. - Failed: read the reason in the row, fix it, then click Retry in the row’s menu.
- Not in use: the domain is connected, but your account is on the free plan. Your page shows on
emailfig.pageuntil you upgrade.
You can connect up to 5 domains, one page on each. To disconnect one, click Remove in its row’s menu. Links you’ve shared on that domain stop working, and the page stays on emailfig.page.
If a domain still won’t connect, email contact@emailfig.com with the domain and what its row says.
