"That domain is already in use"

Sending domains & deliverabilityUpdated

A sending domain can only belong to one EmailFig account. If yours is already claimed, support can sort it out.

If you add a domain and see an error saying it’s already registered, another EmailFig account has claimed it (possibly one of your own). A domain can only belong to one account across the whole platform. Sorting it out isn’t self-serve, but it’s quick.

Email support@emailfig.com with the domain, and if you can, include something that shows you control it (for example, access to its DNS). From there:

  • Claimed but never verified by the other account: staff can reassign it to you.
  • Verified and actively sending under the other account: its current owner needs to remove it first.

If it’s your own domain and your own account

If you’d previously added the domain to a different EmailFig account of your own, either remove it from that account first, or email support@emailfig.com to have it moved across.
