Account & securityUpdated

What Sign out actually does, how long a session lasts on its own, and what to do if you think someone else has access to your account.

Here’s what you can control about where you’re signed in:

  • Sign out ends the session on the browser you’re using right now. You’ll find it in the account menu (your email address, bottom of the sidebar) and on the account-deletion screen. It doesn’t affect any other browser or device you’re signed in on elsewhere.
  • Sessions expire on their own after 30 days of inactivity. Using EmailFig resets that clock, so an account you sign into regularly effectively never times out; one you leave untouched signs itself out after 30 days.

There’s no screen listing every device you’re signed in on, and no way to sign a specific one out remotely. If you think someone else has access to your account, turn on two-factor authentication and change your sign-in email; both need a fresh code sent to your mailbox. Neither signs out a session already open elsewhere, so also email support@emailfig.com with what you’re seeing and a real person can look into it.
