I'm not getting my sign-in code
Missing sign-in code? Work through these causes in order, spam folders, a mistyped address, resend limits and code expiry.
No code yet? Work through these in order. Most people find it in the first three.
Check spam and promotions folders first. Some providers file automated codes there, especially the first email from a new sender.
Check the address on screen. The Check your inbox screen shows exactly which address the code went to, with an edit link next to it. A mistyped or wrong address is the most common cause.
Wait for the resend countdown, then use it. The Resend code link is disabled for a short countdown after each send. Once available, selecting it retires the old code and sends a fresh one.
You’ve asked for too many codes. Request several in a short space of time and EmailFig pauses new sends and shows an alert to try again later. One limit applies to the address; a tighter one applies when requests also come from the same network. Switching networks only clears the tighter one. Waiting is the fix.
The code expired. Each code is valid for 10 minutes. An expired code shows “has expired — send yourself a new one”; select Resend code and try the new one. An incorrect code shows “isn’t valid — check the email and try again”, and allows only a handful of attempts before sending you back to start over.
Still stuck? Email support@emailfig.com with the address and roughly when you requested the code, and a real person will help.
