BYOS pricing
Bringing your own Amazon SES account puts you on the same contact-count ladder as platform sending, at a lower price.
Bring your own Amazon SES account (BYOS) and you pay less at every contact tier than a platform account, because you pay Amazon directly for the sending. Both share the same free tier: $0/month up to 4,000 contacts, EmailFig-branded pages.
On paid tiers, BYOS has its own prices, not a flat percentage off the platform price:
| Contacts (up to) | Platform (Orchard) | BYOS |
|---|---|---|
| 1,000 | $8/month | $6/month |
| 2,500 | $11/month | $8/month |
| 5,000 | $15/month | $10/month |
| 7,500 | $21/month | $13/month |
| 10,000 | $27/month | $16/month |
| 30,000 | $75/month | $40/month |
| 100,000 | $235/month | $120/month |
| 500,000 | $1,035/month | $520/month |
The gap widens as your list grows. See both sets of prices side by side on the pricing page and in Settings → Plan & billing.
Platform’s smallest rung (500 contacts, $6/month) has no BYOS equivalent; BYOS’s own ladder starts at 1,000 contacts. Either way, a BYOS account under the 4,000-contact free cap can simply stay free.
This is separate from what Amazon bills you for the sending itself. See Understand your AWS SES costs.
